High Stakes Series · Our process

Everyone gets drafted.

You do not need a partner, a team, or anyone's permission. You enter on your own and the draft decides the rest.

  • 88players
  • 22teams
  • 4pools per division

Why a draft

The best team in the field doesn’t exist yet.

In most amateur tournaments the result is half-decided at signup, when the strongest players pair off with each other. Nobody says it out loud, but everyone entering knows roughly where they finish before a ball is hit.

Everyone gets an equal opportunity to win. That is the whole argument, and the draft is what enforces it.

Why no team can stack

Four pools per division. One player from each.

In each division the men are split by DUPR into a Pool A and a Pool B, and the women the same. Every team takes one player from each of the four pools, so a balanced team is not a hope, it is the mechanism.

In every pool, players are ranked highest to lowest by DUPR: ten to a pool in Open, twelve in Jones.

  • Men — Pool A

The top half of the men, ranked by DUPR

  • Men — Pool B

The next half of the men, ranked by DUPR

  • Women — Pool A

The top half of the women, ranked by DUPR

  • Women — Pool B

The next half of the women, ranked by DUPR

This is more than a draft.

All games will not be entered into DUPR.

Your rating is used to place you and nothing more. Results from the event are not submitted.

Draft Night · September 26, 2026

Twenty-two teams, built in one room.

Nobody arrived with a team. Every player entered alone, and on Saturday, September 26 all eighty-eight were drafted into twenty-two teams in front of the room at The Club 315. Everyone found out who they were playing with at the same moment.

“Seeing everyone together tonight, feeling the energy in the room, hearing the excitement, the laughs, and watching the teams finally come together made all the work behind the scenes worth it.”
